PAY PAL ISSUES NO REALLY!!! What to do????

I was told yesterday AFTER I was making a purchase on ebay that I reached my spending limit??? What the hell is that all about. They did allow me to finish that purchase but had to RETRACT 2 BIDS I don't get it. Has anyone else had this problem? They want access to my bank account. Yea rite!! NO WAY! They get there fees. So now I have to request a check for the balance in my account. I can still put money in but can't spend it. I'm really pissed about this BS So Now I have to start another account Kinda stupid if you ask me. Please sound off if you have had this issue and what you did about it. Thanks Bob

Bob, you can get a PayPal credit card linked to your account instead of a bank account. I believe there is a $5k lifetime limit on PP use unless you have a linked bank account or their credit card. I'm with you on the bank account info, they're not getting it.

I guess the alternative is to open a new bank account just for PP and let them have at it.

Bob,

go to Netspend.com, request a visa debit card. about a week you will get it, it will have a checking & routing number attached to just that card. You can use that checking acct. number on paypal. They will make 2 small deposits, about 3-4 days, you can check it online, then confirm with paypal the amounts.
Then your limit will be lifted.
You can have money direct deposit to card from anything, also when you pull money out of paypal it will go on your card. make sure to sign up for the $5 a month fee, for unlimited transactions if you want to just use your card for purchases.

What ended up happening to me is I used to buy everything with a credit card, we had switched banks, but I never put the new bank account on my account, one day I bought something, but made a mistake so they found out about the account being closed and then said I had reached my spending limit. So I figured f them, and I don't use either site anymore (Ebay or paypal) now I am actually happier, I don't let the card balance get to damn high, and I pay cash for what I want, strange in this day and age but at least now I don't work for the credit card company

Bob I join PP in the first couple weeks after they started and had no CC at that time so I do the bank transfers. I'm not charged when I buy and neither is the seller. I have use PP for over a thousand transactions with no problems, mostly buying and a little selling. I have had a fee apply when selling but only when the buyer used CC. I considered it not being a good thing for PP to have access to my account even though I never had any trouble or unauthorized withdrawals. I did open a second bank account with being just for PP just to be on the safe side.

Bob its gonna be everybody not just you. They are going through the list and pick certain people at a time. I had to do it. i have been on ebay and paypal for near 15 years, and was freaked when i seen it as well. You just have to add a backup funding source for your ebay fees. I just used the PP Debit Card works just fine. Then you just request more spending limits. Pretty easy, that should take you up to around 5000 per month. I called ebay and did some bitchin, but it did not work. They said its gonna be every body, eventuallly. Good luck on this. You should be fine
