    Default Moonshine

Ok, I have heard about Everclear but have not tried it nor have I found it. I have tried Junior Johnsons' Midnight Moon and I like it, not much of an alcohol smell. I have tried Catdaddy, I don't like the spicy taste, but the buzz does kick in quicker than others, I have had much dental work done and someone suggested rinsing my mouth with whiskey to east the pain, it works but I couldn't bring myself to spit it out, I consider that to be a form of alcohol abuse.
Are there any other "moonshines" that y'all have tried and liked? Please lmk.

I remember the verses by Lynyrd Skynyrd: " whiskey bottle, brand new car, oak tree you are in my way"

190 proof Everclear is illegal to sell in many states including CA ... It makes great jello-shooters to bring along on the river rafting, its very clean.I tried a straight shot once ... Its so hot you cannot feel it unless you try to chase it with something.

I'm not a big hard stuff fan and I have no idea what it's called but I used to get some stuff awhile back. It was aged in a way that it had a hickory smoked taste. It was really easy going down. It was one of those drinks you had to learn how to drink. It went down so easy that you wouldn't realize you had too much until it was too late. LOL

I had a shot of Everclear when I was a teenager. Strong stuff. No doubt. I would love to try a jello-shooter.

I have a bottle of Shine and Lightning from a visit to this place in PEI. Shine is 50%, Lightning is 75%. Nice stuff with a kick.

I grew up in the Tennessee mountains of Appalachia. I was raised on the real stuff. Only came in quart mason jars.
I've tried most of the commercial stuff and most of it is pretty bland. It seems to lack the "care" that was put into the hand crafted stuff. The true "old recipe" shine is complex, smooth, palatable, as well as a real kick in the a$$. Most of the true "Artisans" are gone. Good shine is a rare thing these days.

Everclear is just "hot" by comparison... sorta' like siphoning kerosene out of a Tabasco jug. It's like they take pride in it being almost undrinkable.

Unfortunately they are a long long way from where I am now. I checked the website and they don't even ship within Canada so unless you know someone in Prince Edward Island, you're SOL.
