Thread: Too much junk! Anybody have interest in this stuff?

Default Too much junk! Anybody have interest in this stuff?

I'm tired of all the junk in my basement, it MUST go! Ebay or the swap meet, I want it out! I've already started packing the toys for a local Hot Wheels show, but I still have a giant crate full of old video games, mostly SEGA and Nintendo stuff. There is a complete NES with a wooden storage drawer for cryin' out loud! Car parts? Got those too! Driver side mirror for a '67 Chevy Impala, vinyl top mouldings for a '72 Montego/Torino, grille for a '65 Galaxie 500, trim for a rare 1960 Dodge Pioneer station wagon and more! In general antiques, I've got vintage vacuum cleaners, a chrome waffle iron with wooden handles, bicycle parts, a vintage Dr. Pepper sign, oh my.

Too much junk and not enough time to sell it all! If any of you are interested in anything that may be lurking down there, please reply here and I'll post pics when I get home.

I'd be interested in the Nintendo stuff, I'm always looking for clean cartridges I don't have. Also any metal signs or advertising pieces. Standing by for pics

There is an RCA Victor that needs restored sitting the back room, and a simply beautiful bakelite GE clock radio from 1953. Clock works, radio doesn't and not sure what it is, but I don't have time to fiddle with it.

I just got back from classes. I have to go out pull a couple seat posts out of my parts lot before they're completely ice covered. I'll have pics soon!

    Well, here we are!

First, the table top radios. The 80s one was previously in my garage at the old house...now it sits in a dark corner of the back room. The RCA Victor is a mess. Somebody messed with the wiring before I bought it and I got shocked when I plugged in the SOB in...and I had it by the handle! I thought about parting it out, but never did go through with it. Good for parts or restore, SELLING WHOLE! The marble color radio is a circa 1953 GE with a working alarm clock and a very nice case! The only real flaws are the missing knob and the radio half doesn't work. Most likely tubes, but I don't know. Make an offer on the beat-up 80s radio if you must, but I warn you, it is really a parts radio. I'd take $30 plus shipping on the 1953 GE and $5 plus shipping on the RCA. RCA VICTOR IS FREE IF YOU BUY THE GE RADIO!

Lastly, a "Columbia" brand solid state radio. There are not very many of these brand radios around and can be quite scarce. This still has the earphone and a tag from when it was bought in the case. I'm guessing this is from the mid 1960s because of it's look. It works, but it will need to be taken apart and cleaned, the sound is hard to hear and this is usually a dust issue. There is also a light when you turn it on. Not sure what to ask for it, so make an offer and we can go from there.

An antique "Eskimo" brand fan. This was picked from my step-dad's house in the "junk room". I thought about restoring it after I saw the fan my friend had restored. I never got around to it, so here it sits. The motor runs, but it will need lubed up. The cord needs a new plug and the cage is a bit banged up, but it just adds character. $10 plus shipping

    Now for the shelf stuff!

I'm not certain what these are, but I was once told they were for an airplane? Make me an offer on these!

See any cars you like on the shelves? Take a stab at any of them! The Kodak camera thing is just the box and nothing more, make an offer, same goes for the little wooden horse trough thingy on top.

1956 Ford manual $10 plus shipping

    Hot Rod DVD make offer

Now...we come to the Automotive goodies! Ford, GM, and Mopar items await!

Ahh...rough but fixable 1960 Dodge Pioneer station wagon windshield mouldings, corner piece for rear side window, and I have the roof parts somewhere. The chrome shrouds for the fins are there, but they are heavily pitted and busted up. I bought them anyway thinking I would get creative with the things and that moment has obviously not hit yet. I couldn't help myself. The car was going to the crusher and and with only 3,000 built, I had to buy every last and nut and bolt! There is also a Ford cable of some kind, probably for a T-Bird since everything else that came with it was for a T-Bird. The only things off limits are these; a 1964 T-Bird rear centerpiece with the plastic emblem and two 1965 Galaxie 500 parking lights. Neither are suitable for a car, but I had something in mind for them. Taking offers on anything else in the box.

    The OFF LIMITS!

Have you noticed something? All my pics are not that great right now and they all are in the same place. This is why I'm getting rid of stuff. More coming!

    MORE!

Vintage 1970s car dealer key chain with a second gen Camaro on it. the car keys I'm told were for a 1974 Malibu. $5 plus shipping.

1965 Ford Galaxie 500 car grille. This is in average condition as you can see. The thin steel mounting brackets are junk and need to be replaced, like they do on every other one I'm sure. It would probably look very nice when its fixed up. $75 plus shipping OR BEST OFFER!

Model trains, anyone? Make an offer!

Rusty old car mechanic's tools. Found in a 1940s shed just before it was torn down. $20 plus shipping.

1967-68 Cougar center piece. $35 OR BEST OFFER

1967-69 Hoover Handivac in avocado green. The vacuum comes apart in three pieces for easy storage and works fine. $20 plus shipping.

1970 Buick Skylark emblems (went on the 1/4 panels, near the roof) $30 OR BEST OFFER

Dr. Pepper sign, circa 1960s. I was told this came out of a vending machine? You be the judge! It measures roughly 25 3/4 in. long x 9 1/2 in. wide. It looks to be in good shape minus some minor scratches. $30 plus shipping!

Can I see the back side of the Dr. Pepper sign please? Collecting signs and advertising are one of my other addictions, er hobbies. This is just one wall of my garage...
