Finally found the new motorcycle I wanted...

I've had 5 Ducati's, and after totalling my 1098s last summer, I figured I'd try something different.. just bought this guy off ebay, should be to me in a few weeks (hopefully the snow will be melted by then).. I can't wait!

First, the totaled 1098s:

And here's the new bike. KTM RC8R. KTM just started making superbikes in 2008, and it took them a few years to get it figured out, but from all the reviews i've read, this is the year they got it right:

And on a side note, I was in Vegas last weekend, rented this , man it was fun:

I know a guy who goes to Germany every year, he swears by KTM. I like Ducs myself

That KTM looks stupid fast so be careful. Cruising a Ferrari around Vegas must have been a kick.

Ya the ktm will be stupid fast, as was the Ducati... I'm a bit of a speed freak on these things, but 1 accident in 15 years of riding isn't bad. The Ferrari was by far the most intense thing I've ever driven, it was pricey but something that was on my bucket list, and oh so worth it! We only live once right?

i was just a the dealer the other day looking at an couple rc8's
the dealer here had two factory demo models one white and one black
freakin awesome looking bikes,congrats on getting one.
i think the white one is better lookin than the black one LOL

Ya my local dealer had both a white and a black over the summer, i like the white way better as well. The one I bought has 0 miles on it, and i got it for $3k under msrp.. It paid off to be patient!

Always loved the KTM color scheme, one of my best friends does long distance enduros and has at least 5-6 KTM's in his stable. Swears by them and he's been racing for better part of 3 decades
