Been MIA from the forum for...well way too long. I never got "out" of the hobby but kinda ran out of stuff that I was willing to buy...go figure that during my break I get a PM about some protos I would love to have and never got an email notification about it

Hey, welcome back, Adam. Yeah, I can relate to the MIA. With a wife and kid in college the last three years, the ol' collection is sitting idle. I'm at least happy I haven't had to sell anything, but I do have it stashed in a closet so those two don't get any ideas... :-)

Stashed in a closet is a shame. I just finished what I wanted to do with my collection, so now I'm trying to get everything displayed I want to keep, and sell off the rest. If I can't display it I don't really want it. Well I might keep a couple extras I've decided that this hobby, for better or worse, is the most fun when you're buying and getting new pieces. So now that I'm 'done' I plan on dropping out for a while and do something that doesn't require that kind of commitment. Still love the hobby, but I can't see filling my house to the ceiling, what's the point LOL.

Welcome back and post some new pictures, there are lots of new people on the board.

That kinda sucks too, I had a display room in my house but a buddy needed a place to stay so my guest room became his room and my display room became his daughters room, so now my Giovanni cases are stacked in the closet. I have a case hanging at each of my offices at work, but none of the "good" cars as I dont want to risk any coming up missing. I still pick up missing Mopars I need but dont hunt nearly as much as I used to.

Hey Adam, welcome back from the "hibernation"! Nothing wrong with taking breaks... Yeah, sucks about the protos., I miss out on stuff even when I'm looking out for it. One thing that makes any hobbie really successful is the people. People being kind, honest and looking out for each other... We keep those things up, our hobbie will keep interest, and endure.

Hey Adam! Hope all is well with you. Still driving that RAM?
I've been out of it for a long time too but still pop in and read the board once in a while. We moved the end of July and I started setting up my display cabinet yesterday. Still need to unpack the collection but it got me thinking about redlines again.

I still got the Ram...dont drive it much as its kinda been "under the knife" for longer than I care to admit to...but the last few stitches are being put in now and I'm about to have it on the road alot more.
