This story reminds of an incident in the mid 90s when my better half and i took a car trip across Canada and then back across America from Washington State to North Dakota. We took a mountain pass through Idaho and stopped at a small cafe in the woods.In the parking area around the cafe were lots of pick up trucks with gun racks and dead deer strapped to the front of the trucks. Lots of guys were walking around with rifles wearing battle fatigues. So the door to the restaurant said "Liberals and Tree Huggers Not Welcome Here!".
So I said to Alicia if we got killed here no one in the world would ever know what happened to us. So we went into the restaurant ordered some food and actually everyone was very friendly there. Of course we avoided political discussions.
