Default Any sci-fi collectors out there?

My father-in-law was a collector of science fiction since the 1930s or 40's. He had a long running relationship with David H. Keller, some association with James Branch Cabell, Hugo Gernsback and others. He collected Keller, Cabell, Edgar Rice Burroughs (creator of Tarzan), H.P. Lovecraft, August Derleth, Robert Howard (creator of Conan the Barbarian), Mark Twain and others.
Paul passed away recently and left behind his collection which we are going to be selling off. It has many first editions, limited editions, autographs, manuscripts of Keller works and similar materials.
I've done plenty of playing with toy cars, but I'm totally under water on where to begin finding outlets for his collection. The Keller materials including many correspondences between Paul and Keller may be put together in a collection and donated to a one of a couple different colleges that already have some of these materials, but it may also be put out as a single collection for purchase by individuals. I don't really know much for sure yet other than there is a large container headed my way filled with his collection and I doubt we will be keeping very much of it.
So, if you have any ideas, I'm open to suggestions. Not only am I in the diecast wastelands of western Colorado, but it is a literary wasteland as well. I suspect if I was in New York or Los Angeles I'd be buried in opportunity. Right now, I'm just feeling buried.

Just got this and will reply with info tomorrow. BTW, while unloading boxes today I found a small box of Kodak slides. Inside were 15-20 pics of Isaac Asimov from July 1959 (according to the dates on the slides). So far, I can't find any other similiar examples and they may be unpublished photos. Unfortunately, Paul never mentioned these in our conversations so I don't quite yet know what they are for sure.
