Default Went to an REO Speedwagon concert last night.

I won tickets to REO from my local ROCK station 2 weeks ago. Jon and I went and we had a GREAT TIME !!!! Kevin still has it. The current lineup has ittogether. Some of the guys at work think it is a Chick group, but I love their Live shows.

Jon loved it too. It was nice going to a concert and remembering EVERYTHING !!!! Jon the photographer (NOT) took the shots you will be viewing. They closed theshow with Ridin the Storm out and without missing a beat finished with 157 Riverside Avenue. Good times.

I heard today that the radio station will be giving away WIDESPREAD PANIC tickets starting this week !!! They will be playing in Indy. I think a member here isa Bass player in that group ?? !!

REO Speedwagon really rocked in the '70's, with songs like Ridin' The Storm Out, and 157 Riverside Ave, saw them in concert more than a fewtimes back in the day..........image

    Then the '80's came........image

I LOVED the '80's (or as my son calls them, the olden days! Brat!!! lol). I didn't even know REOSpeedwagon was still around. Can't Fight this Feeling is my all time favourite song of theirs. I have a few of their songs on my iPod. Gotta love 'em!

Last time I saw them, I was home on leave. It was around Feb. 1982. They were at the Lakeland Civic Center, in Lakeland Florida. Red Rider opened for them andtotally kicked azz. Reo rocked for about 3 hours that night. Great times! (saw Bow Wow Wow that week, as well!)

Those are actually decent pics for not having access and equipment for professional pics.

Ugggghhhhh..... I just had a flashback to every junior high/high school dance I ever attended. That song was ruined for me when I got stuck slow dancing to itwith a girl I did not want to dance with. The way she was holding me and looking at me... *shudder*

Not a big REO fan, but the live version of Golden Country rocks.

I only like a few of their tunes, but my fav would be "Roll with the Changes"...If I heard it today, I'd start tapping my feet...

I know. My friends used to make fun of me when Hi Infidelity came out... "That's Chick music" they'd say. But in concert they rock !!!They played about a 14-15 song set. I didn't care for the original Ridin the storm out, but Kevin rocked it live.

They opened the show with :
    Don't let him go,
    Take it on the run,
    One lonely night,
    Keep pushin,
    Golden Country,
    Roll with the Changes,
    Time for me to Fly,
    Back on the road again,
    That ain't Love,
I'll be smilin in the end,
    Ridin the storm out,
    157 Riverside Ave,

I know I'm missing one or 2. But like I said... It was a great show. Love em or not, they still got it !!! Karen I have good memories of that songtoo.....I spent alot of time back then with no adult supervision. Music was/is a great escape.
