next up needed a seat so i fabbed one up,started fabbing up the exhaust, added an internal throttle, also added a early ribbed fender0

    Looks cool Randy,
but that seat can't be comforatable for long, needs a little padding. Other than that looks badass.

Rock on! My buddy Harold Dear (old RLOL member) built an XS650 bobber. It's a very cool trend.

Very cool bike and nicely executed. Nice job Randy I love it!

Way Cool! Love the vintage bike and old school custom work. Now THAT's how it used to be done!! Not point and pick out of a catalog and write acheck....
Hey! Toss your loose original stuff on ebay, like those gauges.. might cover some of the cost!!

I love the minimalist look! And like Jay, it's such a nice departure from point-and-order stuff. I did get lost between picture #1 and picture #2. Ican't tell what was done to go from softtail to semi-hardtail.

    Kitty,
You lose the shocks and the swing arm. The frame becomes one solid piece. (no bounce!) image
Nice job Randy. My first bike was a 1972 XS650's like Harolds.
    Thanks for sharing the pics.

Doh. I think I get it now, thanks, Tim. I didn't realise he swapped out the entire rear. I really do like that style!
