    From this angle I see a kinship to the GT40 I hadn't noticed before (I know, the GT40 nose doesn't flip). --p

Johnny do you know if that is a numbers car or not? Either way it's sweet, but he should left the nose alone. For that reason I am guessing it's notoriginal but maybe you Mr. Ford could enlighten me. image

Pete, the Mustang was put together that way, not a factory built piece at all........

427 S.O.H.C.'s were only available in '65-'66, and you could only buy them over the counter from FoMoCo Performance Parts centers at various FordDealerships across the U.S........

I believe that they cost 3,500.00 in a crate new, ready to run, and were offered mainly for Rails, F/X Cars, and the then budding Funny Cars, but many of themfound their way into street cars as well........

I think I said it in another post - with my first car ever being a '69 Camaro SS, I've always been pretty loyal to Camaros in general. Lately though, cars like this are swaying my opinion. Put side by side, I think I'd have a tough decision between the early Camaros and Mustangs. What a nice piece ofwork this car is! Any chance you've got a full shot of it?

    This caught my attention too:
I believe that they cost 3,500.00 in a crate new, ready to run,
Adjusted for inflation, that'd be equivalent to almost $24,000 today...

You know what even at $24,000 today I don't think They could build them fast enough.............
