Before the playoffs even started, smart money (and this die hard Chicago White Sox fan ) said the Yanks would win it all........

They did, #'s 40 and 27, it was their year, 2009............

Big money again in the off season finally pays dividens ... baseball & a salary cap ... "Never".
It was a hellva a fun stretch saying .500 ballclub to my 15 yr. old w/ Yankee blue runnung through his veins.
Entertaining ( poor kid, lol ) listening to him get p-oed when both us knew "They were '09's team to Beat".

About the book; I no longer own a copy, but I did read it.
A lot in fact, back when I played for fun.
And oh yeah, for those middle school chicks!
