    Default Very close call

I just figured I'd post this here, well because you'll see why.

So, back in JUNE, I had for no reason other than trying to do my son in law a favour lent him my car.

    BEFORE

Wait for it, can you sense the outcome.

    And then BAM

    100_2977.jpg100_2982.jpg

So, now the little F%#@ER gives me the old - YEA, YEA I'm gonna pay you back, help you out.
4 months later very little cash help and
    BAM #2
He F%#@'s right off to NEWFOUNDLAND.
So here I am out a car, and had to find another one, luckily my friend stepped up to help.
My insurance rate jumped, because he was at fault, and it carried over to me. WHAT THE.

Another month goes by. Not so much as a phone call from him.
I guess what I'm asking is SHOULD I SUE HIM.
    Or hunt him down LOL
Oh yea fortunately NO ONE WAS HURT.

I think this belongs in the off-topic forum. However, this is why I NEVER LOAN ANYBODY ANYTHING! NEVER!

I'd sue him for what you are out as long as it won't cause a family rift. This is one instance where I agree with suing. Hunting him down will just get you in trouble......

I didn't mention my daughters involvement, but where she stands is apparently with him.
Both seem no way in a RUSH to help.
I'm just about to right them both off, but alas "GRANDSON"

"GRANDSON" That would be a reason not to sue. Here's an idea.....

When you send them cards for their birthday or Christmas, instead of money, put a note in that just says 'you have paid $100(or whatever figure)toward the repair/replacement of dad's car'. When it is 'paid' off you can send them money again if you want. I think they will get the point...

You learned an important life lesson.

No need to do anything but learn from it.

Your family will always be your family. Dollars are replaceable over time.
