Those of you that know me know that I absolutely LOVE Cobras. My older brother worked at the Ford Plant in Milpitas where they made the Shelby Mustangs in the early 70's. I fell in love with the Cobra when I first saw it at 15 years old. A family friend purchased one. Another friend of mine purchased one of the Shelby GT350H models and I was lucky enough to drive it one time. An experience I will never forget!
I attended a Memorial Service for Carroll Shelby last Saturday and this was unbelievable. There were over 250-300 Cobras, Shelby Mustangs, GT40's and Sunbeam Tigers, as well as other Shelby powered vehicles there in attendance. It was a very fitting tribute to a great American Icon and father of the Cobra. The original Drifters showed up and sang the National Anthem for those in attendance.
Wife and I took over 200 pictures. Here's just a few I thought I would post.
