    Default Anybody collect model kits?

I typically don't, but I saw these new and sealed at an antique mall and figured for 20 bucks each, what the heck? I couldn't find any (I assume these are 1974-75 Camaros) that had sold recently on eBay to find out if I got a steal, a deal, or paid just right, but I saw that some of the mid 70's stuff is fairly affordable, so I find myself about halfway to a new obsession.

If you sell those on eBay, I think you'll be pleasantly surprised. The fact you didn't find comps on eBay is a reflection of their rarity, and Camaros of those years are generally underrepresented. 35 years old and sealed? I vote "steal".

I check Bay frequently for model kits, and anything over 20 years old and still sealed is uncommon.

I love to find stuff like that. I have about 200 unbuilt kits awaiting my retirement. I think you did quite well. If that antique mall is close to home, I would wager that particular seller would likely have more of them in his booth your next visit. Great find!

Thanks y'all. Only problem is now I've gotten this bug and have a pile of mid-70's model kits on my eBay watch list.

I'd buy those all day long for 20.00 each. You got a good deal on those......

Well, I scouted eBay for awhile to look for auctions similar to the Camaros. What I found instead was a new obsession. So far, I have added these two kits to my new collection. Gosh, mid-70's model kits are actually a relatively inexpensive hobby. I think they make cool display pieces. Anyone got some pictures to share?
