To the USA mens undefeated basketball gold medal team! It was nice to be able to route for all of the guys regardless of NBA affiliation

I didn't catch any of the stats on the B-ball, but if that's 'undefeated' within these games,...that's impressive!
I believe we did not lose at all, Spain the silver medal team lost a total of 3 now.
I always thought that being an Olympian would be an extreme honour...even if ya don't medal...
I agree, being selected as the best your country has to offer is a honor, makes wining a gold all the more a achievement
Like Canada did in Women's Soccer...lol...![]()
I found a great new Olympic sport..team handball..at it looked like great fun!
Back in the day,we used to play something like that in phys-ed back, using hockey nets.
That reminded me of what WE used to play back in the day Frank,....I'm talkin' '68 -'72 sorta thing,...which was handball against an outside wall of my Public School, either singles or doubles.... THAT was cool,...have to try it again some day.
And also against the school wall mostly at school during recess or lunch,...or even after school in the evening for that matter,...was to play Cards against the wall.
You know where you'd line up some cards against the wall, mostly hockey cards of the day, but also others like Laugh-In cards, baseball, Apollo 11 moonlanding, Rat Patrol...etc...whatever was cool (NO Junk),.. ,...stand back about 10-12 ft, and flick OTHER cards at them and try to knock them down. Whomever knocked down the last card kept them all!!!
Anyone ever play cards against a wall like that?
Bluewagoon, i used to play cards like that! I was very good at it too! Kids stopped playing against me, cause i used to win so much! Handball against the wall too. This game, they call handball now, is water polo on land.
I liked the water soccer.
